Welcome to the Art & Insight website! "Art & Insight" is the name of my studio/office/gallery and my private practice in art therapy. It is housed in a large, comfortable, divided room consisting of a studio with big tables, adjustable chairs, easels, and plenty of art and craft supplies, and an office/gallery room with art books and magazines, refreshments, and seating for browsing. My own two-dimensional art is shown in the gallery, some of which can be seen on page four of this site.
Art & Insight is located in the Westside Professional Suites Building in west Lawrence on the short street, Quail Crest Place (near the 1300 block of Wakarusa).

I am a native Kansan who has drawn and painted since childhood. I studied art and psychology for my bachelor's degree, returned to school for a certificate in substance abuse counseling, and earned a master of science in art therapy. I have worked as a substance abuse counselor, program director, and art therapist for over eighteen years and have been on the faculty of the graduate art therapy program at Emporia State University since 2002.
